Im Jin-ah (born September 14, 1991), known professionally as Nana, is a South Korean singer, actress and model known for her work as a group member of the South Korean girl group After School and its subgroups, Orange Caramel and After School Red. As an actress, Nana starred in various television dramas such as Love Weaves Through a Millennium (2015), The Good Wife (2016), Kill It (2019), and Justice (2019).

Early Life:

Born on September 14, 1991, Nana is an accomplished South Korean entertainer. She graduated from Ochang High School in Cheongju and initially gained attention as a participant in the 2009 Asia Pacific Super Model Contest.

Career Beginnings (2009–2013):

Nana made her debut in November 2009 as a third-generation member of After School, releasing their second EP, "Because of You," alongside Raina. In June 2010, Nana, Raina, and Lizzy formed the sub-unit Orange Caramel. She expanded her career by being part of the After School sub-unit A.S. Red in 2011. Her diverse talents also led her to become the main model for the Tokyo Girls Collection fashion show in September 2011.

Nana's versatility extended beyond music as she ventured into modeling, participating in various fashion shows, including Tokyo Girls Collection and Girls' Award. She even secured endorsement deals, becoming the face of the prominent Korean diet brand, Juvis.

In 2013, Nana walked the runway for a-nation's "NYLON" fashion show and collaborated with Electroboyz on the single "Ma Boy 3." Her international recognition soared when she ranked second on the Independent Critics List of 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2013, a feat she repeated in subsequent years.

Acting Career (2014–Present):

Transitioning to acting, Nana made her mark in various roles. In 2014, she had a cameo in the Korean film "Fashion King." In 2015, she starred in the Chinese TV drama "Love Weaves Through a Millennium" and the romantic comedy film "Go Lala Go 2."

Her acting prowess continued to shine as she joined the cast of the variety show "Roommate" in 2014 and became the host for OnStyle's "Style Log" in 2014. In 2016, Nana joined the cast of "Real Men" and earned praise for her supporting role in the TV drama "The Good Wife," receiving the Rookie Actress award at the 2016 Asia Artist Awards.

In 2019, Nana headlined the crime drama "Kill It" and melodrama "Justice," earning acclaim and an Excellence Award at the 2019 KBS Drama Awards. She further showcased her talent in the crime comedy film "The Swindlers."

Continuing her success, Nana starred in the mystery thriller film "Confession" (2020) and the KBS drama "Into The Ring" (2020), marking her return to music after six years with the release of "Our Memories in Summer."

After completing "Oh My Ladylord," Nana was cast in Netflix's series "Glitch" in May 2021. Notably, she renewed her contract with Pledis Entertainment in December 2021 for the third time.

Upcoming Projects (2023):

As of my last update in January 2022, Nana was set to star in the MBC drama "Oh My Ladylord," which premiered on March 24, 2021. Additionally, she was announced to join the cast of Netflix's "Glitch" alongside actress Jeon Yeo-been, scheduled for release in the future.
